Our Story
Ember & Oak was born from a simple belief: that the oldest cooking technique — fire — is still the most honest. Chef Marcus Hale spent a decade in the kitchens of Paris and Tokyo before returning to New York with a singular vision.
Every dish begins with the finest seasonal ingredients sourced from local farms within 150 miles of our kitchen. The wood-fired hearth at the heart of our open kitchen is the soul of everything we create.

Guest Voices
"The Wagyu ribeye was the single best piece of meat I've ever eaten. The wood-fire imparts a smokiness that no other cooking method can replicate. Absolutely transcendent."
"We celebrated our anniversary here and it was magical. The staff remembered every detail of our preferences from a previous visit. The tasting menu is a work of art."
"Chef Hale's truffle risotto is the stuff of legend. I've dined at three-star restaurants across Europe and this dish holds its own against the very best. Remarkable."
